The Boat Company & Kimpton Hotels Team Up To Educate New Yorkers About Eagles
“THE EAGLES HAVE LANDED:” EVENTI HOTEL SHOWCASES EDUCATIONAL SESSION ON RARE EAGLES, APRIL 12th, FROM 4 P.M. TO 5 P.M.
The Eventi Hotel in Chelsea has partnered with the not-for-profit conservation organizations, Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. and The Boat Company, Alaska, to help educate guests on America’s rare wildlife. As part of the educational session, a bald eagle and golden eagle named “Freedom” and “Canyon” respectively will be the guest of honors at the hotel so that people can get to know these magnificent creatures better.
Representatives from Hawk Creek and The Boat Company will be sharing educational material on the eagles with the public on Tuesday, April 12 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
At the same time, guests can also view the bald and golden eagles while learning more about conservation efforts to protect these species (professional handlers will be on hand).
Hawk Creek is one of the largest not-for-profit educational outreach and raptor rehabilitation facilities in New York State. Through over 2,500 education programs and 500 animal patients each year, Hawk Creek reconnects humans to the natural world and inspires an appreciation of nature. The Boat Company, incorporated in Alaska in 1979, is the only conservation oriented, non-profit cruise operator in Alaska. They offer guests the opportunity to see these magnificent animals in their natural habitat, along with bears, whales, stellar sea lions and many other species, all while educating their guest on the importance of conserving the Tongass National Forest, the largest in our national forest system, and the last remaining significant stand of temperate rainforest in the northern hemisphere. A portion of every guests reservation is tax deductible with the proceeds going to the year round conservation efforts of The Boat Company. For more information visit: www.theboatcompany.org
